Keeley Seamons in the National Over 35s

I first started playing squash at the age of 8 and due to my love of the sport, I played and trained regularly and eventually became good enough to represent my club. I then improved even more and ended up playing for Kent in county matches.

When I turned 35, I decided to enter some England Masters tournaments including the British closed earlier this year. It was at this tournament that I was spotted and asked to represent England women's o35's team in the Home Internationals. I was so delighted to be asked, and so excited to play. The Home Internationals were played in Nottingham in May, where we played Ireland, Scotland and Wales.


The men's o35's and o55's Home International teams were also there so there was such a great atmosphere at the club. I won my matches, which I was thrilled about; my toughest match was against my Scottish opponent. The England men’s teams won their age groups too so we had a very successful weekend. It was topped off by a great meal and presentation dinner and dance attended by players and supporters.


I thoroughly enjoyed the weekend and hope to be part of the England team again.
