Young Leaders in Cricket Award programme

Young Leaders in Cricket Award is an new programme that will be run in conjunction with Bromley District Development Group (BDDG) & the Mayors Legacy Fund. The aim of the Award is to raise the profile of cricket to 14 - 16 year olds and to insipre them to get more actively involved with Cricket within a Young Leadership role.

The programme sees the junior members completing a series of training courses that will benefit their game by providing them a level of education & awareness. These courses will take place on weekends in April & early May & will include:

- ECB Young Leaders Award

- Introduction to Umpiring & Scoring Course

- Institute of Groundsman Course

- Basic First Aid awareness

The programme has the backing of the Kent Cricket Board

Following on from the course the attendee would be expected to complete 10 - 20 hours of voluntary time at Bromley C.C. and in return they would receive a 'Get Involved' certificate which can then be used for evidence in logging volunteer hours for a range of volunteer and sports leadership awards inc. Duke of Edinburgh etc.
