Bromley slip to second successive defeat

Bromley 1st XI vs Canterbury 1st XI

Canterbury won the toss and elected to bat first. Luke Remice picking up a wicket in the second over. With the score at 6/1, the visitors put on a 55 run second wicket stand in no time before Matt Smit got rid of Kris Glass for 45. Bromley managed to pull the game back picking up wickets regularly after that as Matt Smit bowled 10 overs 2/16 and Nathan Hill bowled 10 overs 2/26 restricted the visitors to 184 all out in the last over.

Bromley lost Jonty Logan then Matt Smit soon after with the score at 20/2. Miguel Barbosa and Yasir Arafat looked like taking it home with a 102 run partnership when Yasir was bowled on 45. Bromley crumbled from there and never recovered as Miguel was left stranded on 61* as the hosts were bowled out for 174, 10 runs short. The first team have lost two in a row but still remain second in the league going into the next round of fixtures.
