Bromley stay top with victory against Linden Park

Bromley CC 1st XI vs Linden Park 1st XI

Linden park won the toss and batted first. Bromley started well and kept it tight picking up wickets regularly. Skipper James Buttterfill bowled 10 overs 2/12 and Ashley Forde 8 overs 3/30 . Nathan Hill playing his first game of the season ended with figures of 10 overs 0/31 including an unbelievable one handed catch at backward point. The extras column was the top score as Linden Park were restricted to 182/9 in 50 overs.

Bromley got off to a bad start losing Jonty Logan in the first over, Smit and Barbosa steadied the ship with a 49 run partnership when Smit fell for 34. Yasir Arafat came in and scored 53 ball 50 while Miguel Scored 57 off 95 balls before losing his wicket a few runs short of the total . Imran scored a quick fire 31 not out to see the hosts home by 4 wickets with 12 overs to spare. Bromley stay top by 3 points going into round 6 away to HSBC.
